We are thrilled to be hosting our first TWO roomed Family Rave at a brand new BFLF venue, the fabulous Howler in Brunswick for our Animal Fantastical themed Rave! This event brings you two Melbourne DJ legends: Danny Bonnici will be making his BFLF debut heading up the CLUB Room while we are delighted to have Scott Alert bringing his hard dance back to the BFLF decks in the RAVE room.

Alongside these absolute pioneers of the Melbourne Music scene we are delighted to bring Cara Murphy, Winner of Music Victoria’s Best DJ 2023, into the fold as well as BFLF favourite and guaranteed floor shaker Simon Murphy.

What can you expect?

• Quality tunes: house/DnB/techno/rave/classics over 2 rooms
• Multi-sensory dance floor and parachute dance finale

• Kids Craft Area with giant mural, themed crafts, and a Magnatiles table for the littlest ones
• Face painting stalls

• Optional (but highly encouraged) fancy dress: It's Animal Fantastical!!
• Parents remain responsible for their children at all times
• Sound levels safe for ears of all sizes :) Bring earmuffs for those who are sensitive to sound.

Who should come?

The event is aimed at families with younger children (8s and under) as craft and play activities are designed with this age group in mind - although older kids and siblings are welcome. If your kids still like dancing with you - they'll enjoy it! Adults are not admitted unless accompanied by a child. A max of 3 children per adult. If there are more than 4 adults per child in your group please email melb@bigfishlittlefishevents.com for pre-approval before buying tickets.

Tickets

Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred/sold on via Tixel. Each member of your group must have a ticket including pre-walking infants (generally 18 months or younger) who are free (but ticketed). Select Adult plus Pre-walker ticket to cover prewalkers.

Yep, it's a rave :)

Please be aware that events are standing/dancing with limited seating, club lighting rigs (no strobes) are used and events are busy with around 700 people at each party - which helps create the rave ambience. Each event is stewarded and risk assessed in advance. Sound levels are decibel checked to be safe for even the smallest of ears. Feel free to bring ear muffs for kids who might be sensitive to sound. Howler is a fully accessible venue.

Photography

We may photograph or film small parts of the event and by entering you are giving your permission for these to be used for BFLF promotion purposes.

Food and Drink

Hot Food will be available to purchase at the Bar and families are welcome to bring their own water and snacks. Licensed bars will be open.

Prams and Changing

If you can manage it we suggest not bringing a pram. We recommend slings and carriers for comfort and for some heart to heart raving on the dance floor :) We realise some people will need to bring prams and there is a Pram Park but prams are not allowed on the dance floor for safety reasons. Changing facilities will also be available.

Getting there

Howler is at 7-11 Dawson St Brunswick. It is 6 mins walk from Jewell Train Station on the Upfield Line and 3 mins walk from Stop 21 via the 19 Tram. Limited car Parking is available directly in front of the venue
