About Longdog Festival 2024
Longdog Festival aims to bring together owners of sausage dogs from all over the country. This event was initiated to raise awareness and funds for the research of IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) which is prevalent in the Dachshund breed.
This is a fun, family event welcoming visitors and businesses from the local community, the region, the state and beyond.
Join them for The Longdog Dash, fancy dress competitions, stalls with everything 'dogcentric', great food and beverages, information and education.
We have stalls for pet food, harnesses, clothing (anything dachshund it will be there)
We will have a doggie bar so our furry friends can have a bite to eat and a sip of something sweet.
A pamper pooch parlour where they can get their nails clipped, wash and blow dry and owners can be educated on nail care for their pampered pooch.
But don’t forget the owners too, there will be food and drink on site and face painting for the kids.
Information sessions from leading Vets and Specialists on the best ways to help prevent IVDD, nutrition and behaviour.
EVENT NOTES: There will be no dogs sold on the day.
